Frequently Asked Questions

Can I wait for my repairs?

Minor repairs YES.  In fairness, all repairs are done in the order they are received in our Langley jewellery store location.

If our Master Goldsmith is not busy on the day that you come in, he may be able to accommodate you.

Can I watch my jewellery being repaired?

Due to security and insurance policy regulations, customers are prohibited from the repair area.

However, you are welcome to stay in the showroom and wait while your jewellery is being repaired.

How do I know I am getting my jewellery back?

One of our GIA trained consultants would be happy to show you your diamond under a GIA microscope before taken
in and after your jewellery has been repaired, so that you can confirm that it’s your diamond.

Also, your jewellery stays on the premises, it never leaves the store and it is secured under lock vault and a state
of the art security system.

Why is my white gold ring looks yellowish?

White gold is basically yellow gold mixed with other alloys such as zinc, nickel, and palladium to turn the metal white.

To enhance the whiteness of 10k, 14k, and 18k white gold, it is electroplated with rhodium, a shiny, white metal,
which is extremely hard.

Depending on the amount of wear to a piece of jewellery, over time this rhodium plating may wear off.

Re-plating white gold diamond ring and band is a simple process that can be done in our Langley jewellery store
to restore your jewellery’s whiteness if needed.

I need to get my diamond band size down. I was told that the diamonds will need
tightening after the band is sized. Why?

When the ring’s band is reshaped to adjust the size up or down, the stones may shift during the sizing process.
Stones on your ring may need to be reset or tightened after sizing to ensure stones are secured.
